Dominican Republic completes field of participants for Haarlem Baseball Week.

The Dominican Republic will participate in Baseball Week in 2026. With the announcement of this team, all participants have now been announced. In addition to the Dominican Republic, the national teams of Japan, Chinese Taipei, Curaçao, and Italy will be present. The Dutch Kingdom Team completes the line-up, meaning that, as is tradition, six teams will compete for victory in Haarlem.

The Dominican Republic is a true baseball country and has produced countless big names from the island who have made it to Major League Baseball. To make a good impression and win the hearts of Haarlem, tournament director Peter Herkemij has been promised by the Dominicans that a strong team will travel to the city on the Spaarne. An enthusiastic Herkemij: "The Dominican Republic is a great addition to our field of participants. This country is a true supplier of baseball talent and invariably fields a swinging, attractive selection. It will be their first participation in Baseball Week and, together with many baseball fans in the Netherlands, I am eagerly looking forward to their debut in Haarlem.".
