The Dutch national baseball team will be in Haarlem this summer during Baseball Week. The event, which will be held between June 26 and July 4, 2026, will last one day longer than previous editions. This automatically means that the stands at the Pim Mulier Stadium will be colored orange for one day longer.
The Dutch team, participating under the name Team Kingdom of the Netherlands, is a powerhouse in global baseball. The team has also often performed well in Haarlem, including its most recent victory in 2022. National coach Evert Jan 't Hoen will once again bring a delegation of highly talented and experienced players to the baseball capital of Europe for this edition.
He had quietly assumed it would happen, but Tournament Director Peter Herkemij is nevertheless very enthusiastic about the participation: "Our national team is determined to win the title in Haarlem. The Netherlands has participated continuously since the first edition in 1961. With passion, speed, and a strong team spirit, they ensure that the stands are filled with enthusiastic and boisterous orange fans time and time again."
Baseball Week is a biennial baseball event in which six national teams are invited by Baseball Week to participate. The WBSC-accredited event is part of Haarlem's intangible heritage and attracts tens of thousands of fans to the Pim Mulier Stadium every year. Regular ticket sales for Baseball Week Haarlem start on February 26 via this website. Season tickets are already available.
