This 30th anniversary edition of Baseball Week deserves greatness and as many eyes on our great tournament as possible. Therefore, this year we are livestreaming tournament all games through baseballweek.com and baseballsoftball.tv.
Thanks to the already existing cooperation between the KNBSB, Kinheim and 360SportsIntelligence, several cameras have been hanging in the Pim Mulier Stadium for some time now, broadcasting and recording big league games on a weekly basis. 360SportsIntelligence and Kinheim provided Baseball Week with access to the cameras and existing infrastructure during the tournament. A new HD centerfield camera was even put up in time for the tournament. Also, 360SI is sending two producers to Baseball Week to make sure the games are as well portrayed as possible.
By broadcasting all games for free, the KNBSB and Honkbalweek Haarlem want to contribute to the popularity of the sport of baseball and further confirm the great name the tournament already has in the international baseball world.
Keeping in mind the fans of the four non-Dutch-speaking participating teams, the organization decided to offer the livestream commentary in English. This commentary is provided in duo form by a rotating three-person team consisting of Sean Houston, Jason Houtkamp and Jasper Roos.
Houston worked as a play-by-play commentator with the Charleston RiverDogs in the American Minor League (Single-A) and then held multiple roles in the media department of the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball. Houtkamp and Roos have been the voices of the Dutch Baseball major league summaries on HonkbalSoftbal.tv for several seasons, provided live commentary at the Baseball5 NK and return for the third time this season as pregame, postgame and live play-by-play presenters during the Holland Series.
With this experienced crew, Baseball Week Haarlem hopes to deliver a great product for baseball fans around the world.
