HAARLEM, 10 JULY 2023 -After an extremely successful edition in 2022, Baseball Week Haarlem is delighted
to announce the return of the internationally highly regarded tournament in 2024. The
event will take place from July 12 to 19, 2024. Baseball Week, which in 1961 had its first edition
experienced, is known as the largest invitational tournament in international baseball.
Baseball fans can once again look forward to strong international teams, exciting
competitions and a unique atmosphere.
The organization can hereby announce that two participants have been determined for the 2024 edition.
Japan and Chinese Taipei have confirmed their participation, marking a major first step toward
once again a strong international field of participants. The other country teams will be announced later this year
disclosed. The Board of Baseball Week Haarlem is pleased with the commitment of these two
Asian baseball greats and is eagerly looking forward to the 2024 tournament.
Team Japan is a regular guest in the Haarlem Baseball Week lineup. The participation of Chinese
Taipei is extra special next year, given the 400th anniversary of trade relations between
Taiwan (referred to in international sports circles as Chinese Taipei) and the Netherlands in 2024. The
tournament thus provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the strong bond between the two countries.
The board of Baseball Week Haarlem, led by new president Peter van der Aart, is
determined to make the upcoming edition an unforgettable event. Van der Aart: “We
are exactly one year away from the start of a new edition of Baseball Week. Also in 2024
are looking forward to a great Baseball Week Haarlem, with a rock-solid field of participants, great
atmosphere, enthusiastic volunteers and dedicated partners!”
Ticket sales for Baseball Week Haarlem 2024 are expected to begin this fall from
start. Detailed information about participants and ticket sales will be available at the official
website and social media channels of Baseball Week Haarlem.
Baseball Week Haarlem looks forward to welcoming baseball fans from around the world to the
