Without Corona, we, the board members, would all now be full of adrenaline working on the final preparations: each with his own “to do” lists and together with the common questions. Will the teams come? What will the weather do? How is the presale going? Grandstands are built, the VIP gallery is erected, the fan zone is set up, there is action all around. A final meeting with all 100 employees, handing out tournament apparel, a pep talk, everyone is looking forward to it and ready to pop!
We all know that things have turned out differently, the anniversary edition, the 30th Baseball Week has been postponed for two years, we will have to be patient. But one thing is certain: it will be fantastic, we were ready to make it a party. Our preparations have not been in vain, we are building on that and continuing!
What made us very happy were the reactions from you. Many gave us encouragement, partners with whom we had agreements for multiple tournaments extended their contracts without problems, no one asked for compensation for missed income. This has not put us in financial jeopardy. We thank you for that.
The period we are currently experiencing together is bizarre, brings with it many limitations, but also new insights and opportunities that bring hope and positivity. With this in mind, our PR team has come up with an online Baseball Week. It starts Friday, June 26, at 5 p.m. You can read more about this in the appendix.
We want to wish you a great summer with great new experiences, sporting or otherwise, and promise to keep you informed of all developments surrounding the 30th Baseball Week Haarlem. We hope you will all be there again then with equal enthusiasm!
